With the recent news that Google+ is shutting down, it got me to thinking about the value of putting time into new social media platforms. Back in the day, I went all in on G+ and I amassed over 50,000 followers there. I had a big hashtag guide that was bringing thousands to my website and I was even quoted in Colby Brown’s book he wrote on Google+ when it was still new.
Long before it was axed, it had turned into a ghost town. I haven’t posted regularly there in years. Was all that time I spent there a waste if I ended up walking away?
Of course not and in this show, I quickly go into my strategies for social media and overall philosophy for investing early in new platforms.
